Installation Guidelines

In North America, there are no snow guard standards, whereas Europe looks at potential roof failure areas and designs custom systems to suit the particular project. According to Terry Anderson, an expert roofing consultant, European engineers use specific snow guards and layouts depending on different sheathing types and thicknesses, roof types, roof slopes, and snow loads. Snow brackets are installed according to a determined layout from eave to ridge to eliminate uneven snow build up.
